OPP on United Way Radio Show

OPP President & CEO Bob Rath and Opportunity High School student Leslie Soler were featured on United Way's Community Connections radio program on WTIC 1080 AM hosted by Ray Dunaway on Saturday August 28, 2010 from 8-9:00AM. The topic was "Second Chances at Success: Developing Young Minds at Opportunity High School"

Teens Celebrated Successful Summer of Employment

Who: Staff and over 200 youth from Our Piece of the Pie, Inc. ® (OPP®) in Hartford, CT.

What: Summer Celebration commemorated the completion of successful work experiences by youth who participated in Our Piece of the Pie’s Summer Youth Employment Program. They worked for eight weeks at various job locations gaining valuable job skills and ultimately developing a resume. The Summer Youth Employment program is funded by Capital Workforce Partners, the region’s workforce investment board – Developing Tomorrow’s Workforce Today.
